Smith quits Portman Road

 

Despite earlier in the season squashing any claims he was about to walk out – Smith has decided to call it a day,

The Club were said to be devastated to lose him at this stage of the season, Directors at Ipswich were thought to of asked Smith to stay till the end of the season,

But after a disappointing 0-0 draw with bottom side Reading – Smith was said to of simply had enough,

Steven Smith has been linked with a managerial move to beloved club Wolves, but its early days and nothing has been finalised.

 

Gunners lose super star

 

Arsenal’s 2-2 Champions League Quarter-Final saw super-star Henry taken off with a suspected Broken Collar-Bone,

He could be out for about 4 weeks – missing the 2nd leg of the Man Utd tie – and the Quarter-Final of the F.A. Cup against Aston Villa, not to mention a selection of important league games,

Gunners boss didn’t have much to say after the game – but his comment about losing Henry was “it pretty sucks”.

 

Newcastle confident of climb

 

The Toon army are drifting away from the top bunch – but Chris Chapman is fairly confident his team can turn things around, he had this to say after their 2-2 draw with Blackburn,

“definitely think I can challenge for Champions League spot if players start performing on regular basis only lost twice in league but am drawing way to many games, but I’m confident we can turn things around just got to learn to close games down and stop giving away stupid goals”

 

 

Mutu return’s from ban

 

Adrian Mutu is expected to return to football in before the Transfer Deadline in a months time,

The striker is expected to gain interest from many top clubs.
